Humidity and Evaporative Coolers
With all of the rain that we have had this week, many people in our area will find that their swamp coolers aren’t cooling their homes quite as efficiently. Swamp coolers are only able to work in dry, desert climates. When there is a high-level of humidity, swamp coolers just push hot, muggy air throughout the home. While some find that the rain and cooler temperatures are a pleasant change, as we get further into our rainy season it will only get hotter and muggier. As our weather changes, many home owners will find that their swamp coolers will struggle to adapt. Homes with refrigerated air will not encounter these same problems.
